Funding cuts mean end of line for recycling store

A RECYLING store which benefits thousands of youngsters is being forced to close.

Crafty Beggars scrap store provides materials for arts and crafts as part of Play Right Play Association’s range of projects.

But the Swansea Enterprise Park shop will close next Friday after the association lost funding for future operations. The store in Gilsea Park, Mona Close, has been an educational magnet for many since 2001.

Customers pick up items for use in schools, youth organisations and other groups throughout Swansea and Neath Port Talbot and it also serves the wider area from Pembroke in the west and Ebbw Vale in the east.
